Bovine TB is found across all continents. Veterinarians have been working with their governments for years on ways to lessen or limit the impact through culling and testing stock.
Bovine TB is a global problem, but many developed countries have been able to reduce or limit the incidence of the disease by testing and culling stock. However, in large parts of the developed world TB is still a major threat to human and animal health.
Dr Paul Livingstone is the TB Eradication and Research Manager for OSPRI's TBfree programme. He has vast experience and expertise in all TB-related fields. In 2011, Paul was awarded the Queen’s Service Order for services to veterinary science, particularly for work on bovine TB.
